About Us

St. Peter Claver Ecological and Computer Centre

The Vocational Education and Training Centre of the Catholic Diocese of Rumbek, empowering youth with skills for economic self-reliance.

Our Mission

To propagate a faith that upholds justice — equipping the residents of Rumbek with technical skills in ICT, solar technology and the trades.

Our Vision

Skilled, self-reliant young men and women for others, transforming their communities through honest work.

Our Roots

Run within the Eastern Africa Province of the Society of Jesus, present in South Sudan since 1984.

Our Story

Established in 2004, SPCECC serves as the Vocational Education and Training Centre of the Catholic Diocese of Rumbek (CDOR), providing technical support in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Solar Technology and other relevant fields to the residents of Rumbek.

Since 1984 the Jesuits have worked across South Sudan in education, technical and vocational training, climate-smart agriculture, food security and livelihoods. Since 2008, SPCECC has been dedicated to youth courses that foster economic empowerment.

Today the Centre trains over 200 students each year across solar and electrical installation, construction and sanitation, auto-mechanics, computer literacy, English and creative media — and partners with Jesuit Worldwide Learning to deliver Cambridge-aligned English.

We welcome every student who wishes to learn, to grow, and to serve their community. Whatever your background, there is a place for you here.

— Fr. Lucas Ng'hwagi, Director, SPCECC
